A traditional alcoholic drink that is particularly popular in Austria, southern Germany and Switzerland. It is a young wine that is still in the fermentation phase. Sturm is made from freshly pressed grapes and has a slightly sweet and sour taste. As Sturm is still actively fermenting, it cannot be kept and must be consumed within a few weeks of production.
Roter Sturm is usually offered from September to November, during the grape harvest, and is often available at wine festivals, wine taverns or wine taverns.
It is usually served chilled and is available in different colors - depending on whether it is made from white or red grapes.
White storm has a light yellow to greenish color, while red storm has a reddish to purple color.
