A traditional alcoholic beverage, especially popular in Austria, Southern Germany, and Switzerland. It is a young wine that is still in the fermentation phase. Sturm is made from freshly pressed grapes and has a slightly sweet and acidic taste. Since Sturm is still actively fermenting, it is not shelf-stable and must be consumed within a few weeks of production – ONLY farm pickup!
White Sturm is usually offered during the period from September to November, during the grape harvest, and is often available at wine festivals, 'Heurigen' wine taverns, or 'Buschenschanken'.
It is usually served chilled and has a pale yellow to greenish color, while red Sturm has a reddish to purple color.
White Sturm is characterized by its lively freshness and a balanced interplay of sweetness and acidity.
A refreshing drink made from the first hand-picked Bouvier grapes. These grapes come from our long-standing grape supplier in the esteemed Weinland wine region.
Enjoy the white Sturm from dierupps best chilled to experience the full aroma and lively freshness of this drink. It goes excellently with hearty snack platters, cheese, sausage, spreads, and fresh bread.
White Sturm is also an excellent choice as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to light dishes such as salads and fish.
